Twenty-six people said yes. The apartment seats eight, three of them are bringing a dish nobody asked about, and two texts have already arrived asking whether they can bring a roommate.
This is the normal shape of the thing. A Friendsgiving is not a smaller Thanksgiving, it is a bigger, looser one, and the planning works differently because of that.
Nobody is sitting at one table, so stop trying to make it happen
The instinct is to hunt down folding chairs and cram everyone around a single surface. Skip it. Renting or borrowing chairs for one afternoon costs you a morning of driving and gets you a table where half the room is eating with their elbows pinned.
What works better is admitting the room has three or four zones and dressing all of them. Couch and coffee table for one group. Kitchen island standing for another. Card table with a plastic rectangular tablecover for the people who want to sit properly. Those covers run 54 by 108 inches and come by the package or by the case of twelve, which matters when you are covering surfaces that were never meant to be dining tables.
Self-adhesive table skirting, 29 inches deep and 14 feet long, is the trick for the folding table nobody wants to look at. It presses onto the table edge and hides the legs, the cooler underneath, and the extension cord.

Matched place settings for twenty-six people is a job for a caterer. The better move is to pick a palette and let the pieces disagree inside it.
Printed fall leaf plates come in a 9 inch dinner size at 8 per package and 96 per case, and a 7 inch size for pie and appetizers on the same terms. Run those alongside solid color tablecovers in a matching orange or a plain white and the mix reads deliberate.
