Just like many people around the world will hold a Cinco de Mayo party to join in on the celebration of one of Mexico’s major holidays; millions of people also hold Oktoberfest events too. Oktoberfest doesn’t actually happen during the month of October, but tends to be in the last weeks of September leading into October. Historically it is celebrated in Munich, Germany and includes the consumption of a huge amount of beer and traditional German foods as well as all kinds of dancing and singing. In addition to the Oktoberfest decorations remember too that party guests should receive tokens from the day, and many people purchase special Oktoberfest coasters, green and red Tyrolean or Alpine hats, beaded necklaces, and even costumes that include the traditional vests worn by Fraulein and Herr alike.

The key to a successful Oktoberfest party is to plan ahead, purchase all of the many colorful and fun decorations long before September rolls around, and make sure to invite as many guests as possible. Because this is such a popular event around the world, finding the right Oktoberfest party supplies will not be difficult, but if you wait until the last minute you will find that supplies might be limited. This is the reason to begin to gather the proper decorations and materials ahead of time.
